Chicken Katsu

A couple of weeks ago, Mish told me she was going to start blogging about what she eats for lunch everyday, kinda like what Ellen Degeneres does. I’m excited for mish, and hopefully she’ll start doing it. But, this entry (and maybe more entries in the future) shows an easy recipe to make for people who may, at times find it hard to figure out what to eat for dinner. I found this recipe on allrecipes.com.

So, here is it! It doesn’t take long at all to make. In about 20 minutes, everything was cooked!

Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts
1 egg, beaten
flour
panko flakes
little bit of salt
some pepper
some garlic salt

Ingredients for Sauce:
ketchup
Worcestershire sauce
lite soy sauce
hot sauce

Directions:
Heat oil in a pot for deep frying.
Mix flour, salt, pepper and garlic salt together.
Pound chicken breasts until about 1/2″ thick. Dredge in flour. Dip in egg. Dredge in panko flakes. Cook in hot oil until chicken breast is golden brown on each side. Drain excess oil.

Directions for Sauce:
Put ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and hot sauce in a bowl and mix together.

I dont use measuring cups, i just squirt as much ketchup into a bowl as i want, then add Worcestershire sauce until it becomes black. then add the soy sauce, but not too much because your sauce might become too salty. Then add as much or as little hot sauce as you like. You can make it as ketchup-y as you want too!

If anyone chooses to make this- i hope you enjoy it! :)
Give your mom the night off, and make this easy recipe. Or make this to impress a lady friend!!
